"And then the brush was given, and then the tint was placed; and, for one moment, the painter stood entranced before the work which he had wrought; but in the next, while he yet gazed, he grew tremulous and very pallid, and aghast, and crying with a loud voice, 'This is indeed Life itself!' turned suddenly to regard his beloved:- She was dead!" Edgar Allan Poe - THE OVAL PORTRAIT -
Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of activity, I have been suffering from migraines for days. But tonight I was feeling better, so I decided to finish this piece, which is going to be my first tribute to one of my favorite authors ever, the amazing, talented and cursed poet & author, Edgar Allan Poe!
I find the novel of the Oval Portrait wonderful, it inspired me a lot and I really hope this tribute is well done enough ^^" Do you like Poe? What's your favorite novel / poem from him?
